Our rooms

Entering one of our rooms is like being invited into the beautiful and comfortable sanctuary of an adventurous friend.

  • Inspired by the majesty, beauty and colour of Antarctica, the rooms feature extraordinary photography by Antarctic adventurer Laurent Dick.  The crisp and vibrant colours of Antarctica, blue, aqua, golden orange and russet are reflected in the decoration throughout the hotel.

Quality timber finishes and furniture sit alongside colourful curtains, cushions and throws. All the rooms are individually heated and cooled, keeping you in control of the temperature. Most importantly the massive glass windows in every room can be thrown open to let in the famous Tasmanian fresh air.

Functional fully-equipped kitchens featuring quality appliances enable you to cook up a storm if the mood takes you. Our kitchen also includes a fully stocked bar fridge full of Tasmania’s best beers, wines, and chocolate.

Completed in late 2012 this boutique apartment hotel has been designed for the next century of explorers of Tasmania, the great southern ocean and Antarctica.

You may choose to stay in a Studio Room, Premium Apartment or Loft Penthouse.

Reviews

I’m moving in!!

WOW....I stayed here for work for 8 days, and I couldn't have been happier with the amazing room, the wonderful facilities, and the awesome staff! Oscar on the front desk is wonderful - he went out of his way to ensure my stay was perfect - and it was! Of course the "car stacker" is quite unique and was very cool. All I can recommend to you - is just book this hotel! The location to all the Salamanca Wharf restaurants was a 3-5 min walk (depending what end you were dining at). The markets on Saturday morning will have you there in less than 3 minutes. Battery Cove is a short walk (uphill) to the rear of the hotel...honestly, everything is just within a short walk! As I've said in my title of this review "I'm moving in"! I'll be back.....I'm already planning my net trip to Tassie!
